Incredible natural views and an unique cultural heritage have made Sicily the region of Italy where the largest number of films was filmed. You will “meet” many Sicilian actors and directors who gave a significant contribution to the world of cinema and we will watch together the most exciting and representative scenes from their films...
You will get to know about enchanting popular traditions, witness dramatic religious feasts, hear our ancient legends, and observe some of the magic rites and the ancient practices which have characterized Sicilian culture and that, even today, maintain their unique charm.
Sicilian cannot be considered a dialect of Italian but a true language in itself! It is a rich language which reflects our complex history and all the foreign dominations that have occurred on our island, down through the centuries.
